Future of Energy Week 2022: Accelerating Asia’s Energy Transition

Online and in-person (Marina Bay Sands Singapore)
 Sep 19, 2022 – Sep 21, 2022

The second annual Future of Energy Week will take place in person in Singapore and be livestreamed to an online audience of more than 4,000 policymakers, business leaders, scientific experts and representatives of multilateral institutions. Economist Impact will bring together these experts to discuss the status and effects of the energy transition in the Asia-Pacific, along with the region’s role in defining the pace and scale of this global transformation.

Discussions will address the most pressing issues in relation to the global energy transition and what a change in the energy system means for Asia.

  • Accelerate access and transition to clean energy
  • The decarbonisation race
  • The evolving role of the oil & gas sector
  • Policies of change and market structure
  • Financing the transition
  • What is next for renewables?
  • Clean energy innovation

Join our President and CEO, James Millar, who will be featured on Day 3 – What’s Next for Renewables, speaking on a panel titled “The role of oil and gas companies in the energy transition.”  Asian oil and gas players can lead the transition to a net-zero energy system by 2050. But how can they do so without affecting their bottom lines? What are the biggest low-carbon business opportunities in the market? And what strategies, operational changes and innovations are they using to enable the shift to a low-carbon world?
