Canada UK Energy Summit, London

The 14th annual Canada UK Energy Summit seeks to advance Canada-UK energy cooperation. Discussions will include trade in energy goods and collaboration on hydrogen production and use, notably, as it pertains to industrial decarbonization in concert with low carbon electrification and carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS).

One hundred and twenty pre-qualified company representatives will participate, in addition to thirty association and government representatives who are responsible for the advancement of policy and fiscal frameworks.

A principal aim of the Summit is to provide a forum for generating business export opportunities for hydrogen, CCUS and clean energy firms, generate business partnerships and strengthen Canada UK collaboration. The Summit will include a business ‘mission’ of 25 Canadian innovators who will attend the event, and some will present during the afternoon session.

The Summit will cover the following key themes:

  • Security and transition: Advancing the Canada UK energy partnership.
  • The role of hydrogen in Industrial clusters.
  • The role of clean electrification, low carbon fuels and CCUS in industrial clusters.
  • The nuclear opportunity

The Summit will include a training seminar for a delegation of Canadian entrepreneurs on the UK industrial cluster approach, including how participate in procurement and supply chain opportunities and register and enforce their IP in the UK market.

Background

The Canada UK Energy Summit was founded in 2011 to advance transatlantic commercial and policy cooperation. The Summit includes participation from industry, finance and government from Canada, the UK and globally.

Summit Reception

A networking reception will take place at the Canadian High Commission on Trafalgar Square following the Summit from 5:45-7:30pm.
