Carbon Capture,Utilisation and Storage in Japan

The Tomakomai CCS Demonstration Project, a cornerstone of Japan’s efforts in CCS technology development, has reached an important milestone, achieving its target of 300 thousand tonnes of CO2 injected in November 2019. The Japanese Government has just released a Summary Report, outlining the project’s main results, lessons learned, and future issues. This webinar will provide an overview of the Summary Report and a preview of the outlook for CCUS in the context of Japan’s energy strategy.
