The 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) is taking place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt from November 6-18, 2022.

The International CCS Knowledge Centre is joining the Carbon Capture and Storage Association, the Gulf Coast Carbon Center and the IEAGHG program as the CCS delegation to COP27, to share information about the critical role CCS plays in meeting international emissions reduction commitments and to assist countries in developing CCS projects as part of their climate change strategies.

The Knowledge Centre's Vice-President of Policy, Regulatory and Stakeholder Relations Beth (Hardy) Valiaho will be in attendance throughout COP27 and will take part in the official side event Carbon Capture and Storage - Where is it in Africa and What Can Be Learned for Emerging Economies? on Nov. 10 from 16:45 to 18:15 (local time) in the Khufu room.
