How important is the Biden administration’s shift in political focus for the development of CCUS in the US? Which states have the drive and determination to lead US towards lower CO2 emissions? And do we now see a shift from CCU to CCS in the US? 

In this webinar we are pleased to welcome Dr. Daniel M. Kammen, Professor of Energy at the University of California, Berkeley, with parallel appointments in the Energy and Resources Group (where he serves as Chair), the Goldman School of Public Policy (where he Directs the Center for Environmental Policy), and as a professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering. 
He is also author of over 400 journal publications, with major projects on energy for international development; job creation in the energy and environmental sectors, environmental justice, and the technology pathways to a low-carbon economy. 
Dr. Kammen has served as a contributing or coordinating lead author on various reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change since 1999. The IPCC shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

From Aker Carbon Capture he is joined by Jon Christopher Knudsen, Chief Commercial Officer, and Pål Helge Nøkleby (MSc NTNU), Senior Manager, who is the Aker Carbon Capture Case Lead for Gulf of Mexico Carbon Storage and Southeast Regional Carbon Storage initiatives supported by the Department of Energy.
