Transitioning Saskatchewan's Energy Sector Through Research & Innovation - PLAN TO ATTEND WBPC 2023.
The Williston Basin Petroleum Conference is celebrating 30 years and will take place May 2-3, 2023 in Regina, Saskatchewan. In 2024, WBPC will return to Bismarck, North Dakota.
This year, the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference features the Saskatchewan Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Summit. At a time when it has become clear that a major part of Canada’s GHG mitigation strategy is hinging on this important technology, the conference will feature special sessions on CCUS. Saskatchewan has been a global CCUS leader since 2000 when the Weyburn and Midale fields were first flooded with CO2. In the time since, Boundary Dam and the associated Aquistore CO2 Deep Saline Storage Project have become groundbreaking examples of CCUS in the real-world. Please join us for this summit which will feature presentations and panels from some of Canada’s leading researchers, financiers, regulators and companies working and investing in CCUS. The Summit is included in your WBPC conference registration.
